About At Their Age
Guidance that grows with them
At Their Age helps parents and caregivers make practical, age-based decisions about responsibilities, reading, entertainment, technology, life skills, and growing independence.
The goal is not to hand you a universal yes or no. It is to make the reasoning visible so you can decide what fits your child and your family.
Why we exist
Most parenting questions are really questions about fit.
A list of “best” options is not very useful if you cannot tell why something belongs on it. At Their Age is built around the opposite approach: explain what matters, show the relevant evidence, and make the age-specific reasoning easy to follow.
How we work
A consistent editorial approach
Age-specific
The answer can change quickly as kids grow, so guidance is organized around the stage you are actually parenting.
Framework-driven
We use consistent factors such as safety, maturity, supervision, complexity, and progression.
Independent
Commercial relationships do not determine what we recommend or how we explain it.
Who it’s for
Adults making decisions for kids.
The site is written for parents, grandparents, guardians, and caregivers. It is not designed as a children’s portal, and we avoid collecting unnecessary information about children.

A recommendation should tell you why.
